Tasker
Tasker is situated in Ashbrooke, Sunderland and offers places to people with Asperger Syndrome and high-functioning autism. Many of the students experience a range of associated difficulties including ADHD and mental health problems. A number of the students are residential and benefit greatly from the additional independence, social and leisure opportunities offered within the extended curriculum at Westfield.
Tasker offers each student a tailored autism specific curriculum. Many also take advantage of the wide range of outdoor education opportunities as well as the very well-established drama, photography and music programmes. The majority of learners also attend a local General Further Education College to study academic and vocational courses at Level 2 and 3.
