All staff receive extensive training far beyond the minimum advised in statutory guidance.
Our view matches that of best practice documents (RCP/BAP) that specialist training is vital to equip staff to understand autism and deliver autism specific interventions. This training in autism is a rolling programme that reflects the latest research but also responds to the changing needs of the individuals that we support.
A great deal of our specialist training is provided by Lynne Moxon (Consultant Psychologist) who trains nationally and internationally on autism spectrum conditions and associated difficulties and disabilities. Additional training is also delivered by our highly skilled and experienced Multi-Disciplinary Team.
