Garden Lodge
Garden Lodge is located in Seaham, County Durham, and is within walking distance of good local amenities and has excellent transport links to Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle. It is very near to the beach and park and ideally situated for scenic coastal walks.
Garden Lodge is a lovely detached modern house set in the grounds of Orchard House. It provides high quality accommodation, excellent support, and lots of structure for the people with who live here. We have a lovely lively and happy atmosphere within the house and people take every advantage of everything the community has to offer them.
The majority of the staff have worked here for many years and offer consistent person-centered support. We have developed positive, trusting and respectful relationships with everyone and their family and friends. Our staff receive excellent training and have an in-depth understanding of the diverse needs wishes and ambitions of the people we support including autism, OCD, epilepsy and learning disabilities.
We actively promote independence and involve everyone in a meaningful way to make decisions and choices about their home and lives. We also focus strongly on promoting fitness, exercise and a healthy lifestyle. People also enjoy the wide range of activities and events at The Croft Centre.
The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and consistently receives outstanding reports.
