Job role

Annitsford Drive [NE23 7AP] is a Supported Living service providing support to 2 young men on the autism spectrum with complex needs. It is expected that a third person will move into the property at some point in the near future.

ESPA are looking to recruit a Senior Support worker. Applicants will need to be experienced in delivering services of excellence to adults with autism and complex needs. You must have a mature, confident and compassionate attitude towards working with people who challenge services.  Knowledge and experience of positive behavioural approaches is essential as is the ability to model best practice in all aspects of your work at all times. Experience of shift leading and managing a team would be beneficial, as is a proactive approach to all matters relating to the delivery of an efficient and responsive service. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Support Worker role and preferably some experience within a senior/supervisory role.
