Peter, David and Alan are helping to stop UK hunger.

Thirteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK, with individuals going hungry every day for a range of reasons, from benefit delays to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.

When we heard about the Trussell Trust which partners local communities to stop UK hunger, we had to get in touch and volunteer our time to help.  The only way to reduce UK hunger is by a collective effort from the voluntary sector.

We feel passionate about offering our time to help and support people who are below the poverty line and believe that no one should ever have to go hungry.

We wanted to do something tangible and worthwhile and reach out to those who rely on Foodbanks to feed their families and use this service as a lifeline.

We give our time to provide up to 3 day emergency food parcels to many individuals and families who are in the greatest need.

We’ve recently had some lovely feedback from the Volunteer Co-ordinator of Durham Christian Partnership who said,  “I’ve absolutely loved working with Peter, Dave and Alan, they brighten up our Friday.  The staff are great too and have always been really lovely and professional”.

Volunteering is an ideal opportunity for us to help people in crisis situations and we’re very proud to support a nationwide network of Foodbanks! –  Peter, David and Alan
