ESPA is a Registered Charity. It has grown from its amalgamation with its sister company CAP, which was established by parents and professionals in 1987.

ESPA aims to provide the highest quality community-based care and further education to meet the needs and develop the full potential of people with an autism spectrum disorder.

We endeavour to consistently monitor and review the needs of people supported within the organisation in partnership with parents, carers and Local Authorities, therefore it is necessary for our existing services to adapt to the needs of our service users as they change over time.

As a company we have a flexible and creative approach to the development of appropriate services and settings.

ESPA is an autism-specific organisation and we are proud of the expertise within the company. We have the services of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Consultant Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Consultant and a team of highly experienced and well-trained managers, tutors and support workers.

ESPA has developed an excellent in-house training scheme, which ensures our service users receive the highest standards of support.

The extensive range of settings within the organisation has been designed to meet the requirements of the individual. These include Residential Homes, a Further Education College and semi-independent flats and bungalows.

Our Care Homes are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).

Our College is accredited with the learning & Skills Council and inspected by Ofsted and the Adult Learning Inspectorate.
