It provides a comfortable home for seven people with an autism spectrum disorder.
Many individuals also have a hearing impairment.
The specialist environment and the highly trained and skilled staff ensure that individuals are supported to make choices and decisions about their lives and plans for the future.
The use of signing and communication aids and support from the Speech and Language Therapy Department further enhance each persons communication skills.
The house is comfortable and homely with spacious communal areas.
Everyone has their own large bedroom with a private en-suite. There is a lovely garden and the home is within walking distance of the beach, park and a wide range of community facilities.
The Care Quality Commission has awarded the service 3 stars (Excellent).
The committed staff team have a detailed understanding of autism and use person centred planning to support each person to develop the skills and self confidence to help them achieve a more independent future and a lifestyle of their choice.
Everyone enjoys the extensive range of activities available through The Croft Centre.
They also use the full range of community facilities both locally and further afield to take on an active role in the running and management of their home.
